Here’s some information on “the premier event on Gulf Coast restoration,” which is free if you happen to be a government official, military, or the news media. Otherwise, you can pay $175 to listen to “top leaders,” go to exhibits by “leading companies,” and have lunch. For only $300 you also get to go to a reception where you can actually meet “key decision-makers.” Only sharks need apply. If you happen to be a mere shrimp, forget it, you’re out of your ecosystem.

Do members of the Kiss Army qualify for military admission?

Apologies if this has been suggested already.

If anyone really wants to go, i will sponsor them as a reporter for WTUL news. there may be some wonky speakers. really, this is a sham and a scam.

and by "sponsor" i mean you get in for free to rub elbows with a bunch of suits working for Shaw Coastal. maybe you can blow them in the bathroom, i dunno. I honestly didn't know what the point of the last one was. if it was supposed to be 'coastal restoration 101' you should just go to the monthly LA-CPRA meetings. the next one is in LaRose wednesday.

I think it was a business networking opportunity. without cocaine. boring.

If you wanna know about what the government is doing with the money for RESTORE, it's my job to track it. the states won a lot of control over the feds in regard to the council structure deciding where the money goes, so if you're a contractor or sub-contractor, my advice would be to get an office in baton rouge.
